Had my 3rd creative writing workshop on Thursday, and I emerged out of it in one piece.

I thought that after doing this twice, I could just sit there as people commented & shot their opinions on a piece of my writing. But, no, the experience is pretty crazy, hard to stomach. Giving criticism on my writing is like giving criticism on my character - the two have become hard to separate after so many years.

But beyond the actual reading, the class was great. They kind, and when they have to whack, they at put a cushion on their commentary. Because I wrote something quite blatant & explicit, and because the class is mainly girls, I'm glad everyone took it without much complaint. Someone did say that writing about a girl from a guy's perspective is jarring, and I agree, but then again I don't have a lot of role models to follow.

I'll post all the stuff from my creative writing class up someday. 4 short stories & random poetry. I'm planning to start a new community to host all the stuff so this LJ doesn't get too cluttered.
